Algiers: Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs Soraya Mouloudji received Sunday, in Algiers, the representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to Algeria, Katarina Johansson, with whom she discussed ways to boost cooperation between the two parties, as per a ministry statement.
According to Algeria Press Service, the meeting focused on enhancing collaborative efforts to address issues concerning children in Algeria. The discussions aimed at identifying strategies to strengthen the implementation of programs that benefit children and families across the country. Both parties expressed their commitment to continue working closely to improve the well-being of children and to support family and women’s affairs initiatives.
The ministry statement highlighted the importance of UNICEF’s role in supporting Algeria’s efforts to promote child welfare. Mouloudji and Johansson explored possibilities to expand existing programs and introduce new initiatives that align with the country’s priorities in these sectors. The meeting underscored the shared goals of fostering a supportive environment for children and families in Algeria.
