Cabo Verde Aims to Enhance Aviation Cooperation with Morocco

Rabat: Cabo Verde is exploring new avenues to strengthen its civil aviation cooperation with Morocco, as outlined in a recent meeting between Cabo Verde’s Minister and Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh. The Cabo Verdean official emphasized that the visit is part of efforts to boost economic exchange through enhanced air connectivity.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Cabo Verdean official highlighted the significance of investment in tourism, which heavily depends on air travel. He pointed to the robust relationship and exemplary cooperation between Morocco and Cabo Verde, describing it as a model partnership among African nations.

Minister Kayouh remarked that the meeting was a chance to evaluate all potential ways to enhance bilateral relations and improve air connectivity, with current flight schedules including six weekly flights to Praia and Sal.

The two countries have agreed to offer pilot training for Cabo Verdeans in Morocco. Furthermore, a business meeting is planned between entrepreneurs from both nations to explore investment opportunities in the ferry and logistics sectors.

Referring to Cabo Verde’s significant investments in tourism, Kayouh noted the potential benefits of Morocco’s experience in enhancing Cabo Verde’s logistics sector.
