Casablanca: Central African Republic Raises $9 Bln for its 2024-2028 National Development Plan: The Central African Republic (CAR) has successfully secured $9 billion for its National Development Plan (NDP) for the years 2024-2028. This significant financial commitment was achieved during a two-day investment roundtable held in Casablanca.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, CAR’s Minister of Economy, Planning, and International Cooperation, Richard Filakota, highlighted the participation of over 500 stakeholders, including donors, institutional investors, and key figures from Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The event was organized in collaboration with the Kingdom of Morocco and emphasized a collaborative approach, fostering dialogue and partnership.

Filakota further noted that the event marked a significant step forward in the implementation of CAR’s NDP, following a ‘give and take’ strategy. The successful outcome of this roundtable underscores the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, promoting cooperation that supports the sustainable development of the African continent. Moloua, in his closing speech, expressed gratitude for the vital support from various international, multilateral, regional, bilateral, and private partners.
