Nairobi: Morocco’s national football team made headlines by clinching their third CHAN title in a dramatic final against Madagascar at the Moi International Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the tournament, held from August 2 to 30, took place across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The standout performers from the Moroccan team were Hrimat and Oussama Lemlioui. Hrimat, the captain of the Atlas Lions, was named the best player of the tournament, having already been recognized as the best player in Morocco’s matches against Angola and Tanzania.
Meanwhile, Oussama Lemlioui emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, netting six goals, two of which came in the final match. Morocco’s victory and the individual accolades for Hrimat and Lemlioui underscored the team’s dominance and exceptional performance throughout the competition.
