Al hoceima: The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) inaugurated a new multi-sports hall in Al Hoceima on Wednesday. This development is part of efforts to enhance social and sports services for members of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works of National Security Staff. The facility, which is located at the Regional Security headquarters, includes fitness machines, martial arts training spaces, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the project arises from a partnership agreement signed in April between the Foundation and the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN). The agreement is focused on improving infrastructure and offering social and sports amenities for police personnel.
During the inauguration, General Controller Taoufik Sitri, director of the Foundation, stated that the new hall meets international standards and will be accessible to Foundation members and Al Hoceima’s police staff. He emphasized that this initiativ
e enhances the range of social services available to police, in alignment with directives from the Director General of National Security and Director General of Territorial Surveillance.
Sitri further mentioned that the project acknowledges the contributions of police officers and highlights the value placed on human capital within the National Security, considering it as the institution’s ‘greatest wealth.’ In recent years, the DGSN has initiated a comprehensive development plan to modernize police infrastructure, which includes upgrading buildings and sports facilities to provide integrated spaces for professional, intellectual, and physical development.
