Rabat: A 43-year-old Turkish national was apprehended upon his arrival on a flight from Turkey.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a check in the Interpol database revealed that the individual was the subject of a red notice issued by German authorities due to his alleged involvement in a cocaine trafficking case.
The suspect has been placed under specific extradition procedures and will be brought before the competent public prosecutor’s office. German authorities have been informed of his arrest.
This incident is a part of the Moroccan security services’ ongoing efforts to implement international security cooperation mechanisms, especially in pursuing and apprehending individuals wanted globally for transnational crimes.
