Heatwave to Impact Multiple Moroccan Provinces with High Temperatures

Rabat: A significant heatwave is set to impact several Moroccan provinces from Tuesday to Friday, with temperatures predicted to reach between 44 to 47°C. This weather pattern is expected to affect the provinces of Errachidia, Zagora, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Oued Eddahab, and Aousserd, as stated in an orange weather alert issued by the DGM.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, additional provinces will experience slightly lower yet still intense temperatures ranging from 40 to 44°C. These areas include Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknes, Khénifra, Fès, Moulay Yaacoub, Taounate, Taza, Ouezzane, and Guelmim, as well as Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Benslimane, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Kelaa Sraghna, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khemisset, Sidi Bennour, and Youssoufia. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the extreme heat.
