Algiers: The President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, presided over the annual ceremony at the People’s Palace in Algiers, where ranks and medals were conferred to senior officers and civilian personnel of the People’s National Army (PNA).
According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune conferred the rank of Lieutenant General to Mostefa Smaali, the Major of Land Forces. Additionally, the President promoted Brigadier Generals to Major Generals and Colonels to Brigadier Generals within the PNA.
The ceremony also included the presentation of medals to senior officers and civilian personnel. On this occasion, President Tebboune awarded the medal of the Order of National Merit, rank of El Achir, to National Police Director General Ali Badaoui and Sonelgaz Group CEO Mourad Adjal.
