Morocco Welcomes 7.2 Million Tourists in First Five Months of 2025

Rabat: Tourist arrivals in Morocco reached a new record of 7.2 million people during the first five months of 2025, representing a 22% year-on-year increase, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this performance represents 1.3 million additional tourists and a significant 68% growth compared to 2019. The ministry stated in a press release that such figures confirm Morocco’s trajectory toward the goal of attracting 26 million tourists by 2030.

These results confirm the growing trend initiated last year and firmly position Morocco on the global tourism map, reflecting the effective strategic directions adopted for the sector, said the same source.

The Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, noted tangible results thanks to government investments in this sector under the leadership of HM the King.

This growth strengthens the Kingdom’s position as a top-tier international destination, supported by the 2023-2026 roadmap focused on enhancing air connectivity, increasing promotion, and stimulating investment for a more diverse tourism experience.
