Algiers: Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, led the awarding ceremony for the President’s Ali Maachi Award for Young Creators at the Abdellatif-Rahal Internal Conference Centre in Algiers. This event coincided with the observance of National Artist Day.
According to Algeria Press Service, the ceremony honored winners of the President of the Republic’s Award for Young Creators “Ali Maachi 2025,” recognizing achievements in a range of artistic and literary fields such as novels, poetry, performing arts, and cinematographic and audio-visual arts. The initiative, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Arts under the patronage of the President, underscores a commitment to fostering an environment that nurtures and develops artistic talents.
This annual event is a tribute to artists’ contributions during the national liberation war and reflects the dedication of state authorities to elevate the status of artists. It aims to encourage creative endeavors and reinforce the role of culture as a pillar of national unity and identity, as well as a key driver for development.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Minister of Culture and Arts Zouhir Ballalou, government officials, national cultural and artistic personalities, and numerous Algerian artists and designers.
