President Tebboune Orders New Measures to Organize Sugar Industry

Algiers: The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at a Council of Ministers meeting he chaired on Sunday, ordered new steps to organize the sugar production industry, noting the possibility of creating a national office for sugar.

According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune instructed the implementation of measures that include the potential establishment of a national office for sugar. This initiative aims to regulate the market, ensure adequate production to meet national demand, and set aside quantities for export. The focus will be on using accurate statistics to positively impact the Central Bank.

President Tebboune acknowledged the progress in local sugar production, highlighting the operational status of new plants and units. He expressed gratitude to the minister of Industry and all workers in the sector for their contributions to the advancements in sugar production.
