Algiers: The minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, alongside Kamel Sidi Said, the advisor to the president of the Republic in charge of the Directorate-General for Communication, visited the headquarters of Algeria Press Service (APS) on Tuesday. The visit was to extend their wishes to the journalists and workers of the agency on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
According to Algeria Press Service, the visit was conducted in the company of the director general of APS, Samir Gaïd. Both the minister and the presidential advisor conveyed their Eid al-Fitr greetings to the employees, emphasizing the importance of this tradition.
The minister of Communication remarked in a brief statement that such visits are a tradition upheld by the ministry during religious occasions. This practice reflects the ministry’s continued engagement with media personnel.
Kamel Sidi Said highlighted that the visit started with APS due to its significant role in the national media landscape. He acknowledged the agency’s contribution
to the country’s communication sector.
Samir Gaïd, the director general of APS, expressed gratitude on behalf of the agency’s workers for the visit. He appreciated the gesture from the minister and the presidential advisor, acknowledging it as a commendable tradition during this festive occasion.
