Algiers: The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call on Sunday from Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, who extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to him and the Algerian people, as stated by the Presidency of the Republic.
According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune reciprocated by conveying his Eid al-Fitr greetings to President Erdogan and expressed wishes for progress and prosperity for the Turkish people. The conversation also included an agreement between the two leaders to meet soon as co-chairs of the High Joint Committee.
Additionally, during the call, the presidents expressed their concern for the Palestinian people, urging for a swift resolution to their ongoing suffering, which they described as one of the worst forms of genocide in history.
