Algeria-Germany Concludes Project Supporting Health and Pharmaceutical Sectors in Covid-19 Fight

Algiers: The project of support to the health and pharmaceutical industry sectors in the fight against Covid-19, implemented as part of a collaboration between the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry had come to an end, the ministry said Wednesday in a press release.

According to Algeria Press Service, the initiative aimed to bolster the capabilities of Algeria’s health and pharmaceutical sectors during the pandemic. The collaboration between UNDP and the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry focused on enhancing the infrastructure and resources needed to combat the virus effectively. The project involved various strategies to supply necessary equipment and support the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals.

The Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry expressed appreciation for the partnership with UNDP, emphasizing the critical role it played in strengthening Algeria’s response to the pandemic. The completion of this project marks a significant milestone
in the efforts to address the challenges posed by Covid-19 in the country.
