Jordan’s aid reaches Arish airport to be delivered to Palestinians

Jordan’s aid aircraft arrived at Egypt’s Arish Airport to be given to Palestine Red Crescent Society in the Gaza Strip, Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) said Thursday.

In a statement, the ERC said that it is working around the clock to coordinate and communicate permanently with its counterpart in the Strip to hand out humanitarian aid from inside and outside Egypt to Palestinians.

The ERC works on observing and providing all relief needs to Palestinian brothers affected by the violent Israeli aggression on the Strip, it noted.

Meanwhile, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said it called on all international and regional organizations, which desire to offer aid to Palestinians, to deliver it to Arish Airport in order to be delivered to Palestinians.

Humanitarian responsibility and global values require offering humanitarian assistance to Palestinian people who have been suffering from several risks, the statement said.

Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt is open and has not been shut down since the start of the crisis, it noted, refuting false reports in this regard.

However, it elaborated that the crossing from the Palestinian side has been ruined due to Israel’s repeated shelling, adding that this hinders it to continue working normally.

Egypt has asked Israel’s authorities to avoid necessarily targeting the crossing from the Palestinian side to support rehabilitation efforts to help it resume work normally in order to back Palestinian brothers in the Strip.
