His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the success of Taj El Din in winning first place and the gold medal in the 97kg weight category in the World Championship wrestling competitions in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
HH said the achievement was the result of the support of HM the King, the follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Khalid noted that Taj El Din victory qualified him for the Olympics in Paris, putting the name of Bahrain on the global sports map again.
HH highlighted the success of the plans of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in improving the conditions of the teams to continue reaping achievements.
