Members of the National Assembly, during the first ordinary session of the 17th legislative term held Tuesday, named members of the parliamentary committee for working out response to the Amiri Speech marking the new term.
The appointed members of the commission are Usama Al-Shahin, Hamad Al-Obaid and Badr Al-Enezi.
Article 105 of the Constitution stipulates that the parliament is tasked with selecting members of the commission from among the legislators. The response, which should include MPs’ remarks and aspirations, is endorsed in the parliament pending submission to His Highness the Amir.
They named members of the parliamentary committee for interior and defense affairs; Khaled Al-Otaibi, Khaled Al-Emairah, Majid Al-Mutairi, Badr Al-Shemmari and Mohammad Al-Mahhan.
According to the constitution 93rd provision, the assembly should form, during the first week of its annual session, the parliamentary commissions.
Moreover, they appointed members of the complaints commission; Khaled Al-Otaibi, Hamdan Al-Azmi, Abdulhadi Al-Ajmi, Khaled Al-Emairah and Mohammad Al-Mutairi.
