St Petersburg Forum: President of Republic calls for “participatory, inclusive approach” to address current challenges

The current challenges and crises require “coordinated efforts by the international community in the search for effective and lasting solutions,” said President Tebboune in his speech at the meeting, which he co-chaired with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, he praised the contribution of Russia, which supplies and exports cereals to several countries around the world, as well as contributing to the stability of international energy prices.

“I call on all parties to combine their efforts, and to work together as part of a participatory and mutually inclusive approach that takes account of the interests and concerns of all parties, especially poor countries that are experiencing disruption and war,” he said.

The President of the Republic also said that his talks on Thursday in Moscow with President Vladimir Putin, as part of the State visit he paid to the Russian Federation since last Tuesday, had enabled him to “reiterate his determination to promote strategic relations to the expected levels.”

Welcoming the development plan outlined by President Putin at the meeting, which, he said, “is up to the greatness of the Russian Federation,” Tebboune thanked his Russian counterpart for inviting him to the forum.

In this regrad, the President of the Republic called for the banning of politicization in economic decision-making and for absolute priority to be given to economic efficiency.
