The president of the Republic laid a wreath, Thursday morning, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow.
President Tebboune and the delegation accompanying him are expected to arrive in the Palace of the Kremlin later in the day, for talks with his Russian counterpart.
The State visit of the president of the Republic to this country was marked Wednesday by an intensive activity.
He mainly chaired the Algerian-Russian Economic Forum, attended by 70 Algerian economic operators and 200 Russian businessmen.
In an address at the forum, President Tebboune said Algeria had embarked on a multifaceted economic revival programme and has made 2023 the year of economic revival, stressing that the country “has given a top priority to the revision of the legal framework governing investment to provide an appropriate business climate.”
President Tebboune inaugurated a memorial stele of the founder of the modern Algerian state, Emir Abdelkader, saying that the monument erected in the most beautiful square of Moscow was a witness to the age-old friendship between the Algerian and Russian peoples.
On the same day, President Tebboune held discussions with senior officials of the Federation of Russia, stressing the depth of relations between the two countries and mentioning the most significant areas for the enhancement of bilateral relations.
During the visit, which comes as part of the strengthening of cooperation between the two friendly countries, President Tebboune will participate in the works of the International Economic Forum of Saint-Petersburg.
