The Ministry of Culture and the Arts has announced that, in coordination with the services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, it has recovered “seven pistols dating from the Ottoman era, historical pieces of extreme importance from an archaeological and artistic point of view,” said the ministry in a statement.
“These vintage pistols were offered for sale at an online charity auction, in London, before the Algerian government intervened to recover them,” said the ministry.
“These weapons will be included in the national museum’s catalogue,” added the same source.
